Morning All,
Noticed in the classified section that someone had advertised complete front and rear brakes off a GTi.
Will these fit onto a 54 plate 140 Gt TDi?
If so, is it a straightforward job or do the parts require modification to fit??
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Des.

No they will fit just fine.

You just need the brackets and the bigger discs (312 x 25 instead 288 x 25 mm).
The Calipers are the same (Ate FN3).

Thats great, just the same as the Mk4 Golf then.
What about fitting the GTi rear breaks??
Will the GTi disc's and calipers bolt onto the rear hubs or is there differences??
Thanks again!

I need to guess, but the rear hubs should be the same on all FWD Mk.V.
You definitely need new calipers that fit the 286 mm rotors.
So the rear mod is much more costly than doing the front. Also improving
rear is not required for spirited driving or even on track. Or do you like
caravaning in the swiss mountains?

That's all good news, thanks (no towball to attach a Gypsy hut)
