Title: TT Owner saying hello
Post by: marcquinlivan on July 19, 2011, 06:17:25 pm
Just a quick hello to you all. Some of you may know me from vagoc.co.uk where I am one of the admin team.

I was pointed to an item in your classifieds section, but I don't seem to be able to respond to the item so I assume I need to post an intro first (at least that's how we do it on VAGOC).

Anyway, a few photos of the TT that I collected from the factory in Ingolstadt in January.

Cheers Gaz!

So what is the deal with posting in the classifieds? I've not been able to find out how to respond to an item I'm interested in buying.

I'm the first to complain on our forum when new members come in and spam the place with nonsense posts to gain access to certain areas so I don't want to do the same here.

I understand the reasons why certain areas may be restricted, so I'm not going to complain about it.

It is the TDI - It is an S-Line with what is called the "Black and White" pack which gives you all the black trim, tinted windows, titanium alloys, carbon fibre mirrors, splitter and diffuser and some other bits and bobs. Only supposed to be available on Black and White cars (hence the name) but I managed to get Audi Ireland to convince the factory to do it in Misano Red.

Thanks - I'm really glad now that I asked as there are apparently only 10 TTs coming in this year and they are all either black or white as they are the free colours.

Before they agreed on the Misano Red I was thinking black as it would stealth the car up, but then I realised that the black would hide all the carbon fibre bits and I felt white would be very difficult to keep clean.

I have since seen a black one and there is nothing to it - from a distance it just looks like colour coded bits.

I must say it looks really great in Red and as you say the CF comes into play a lot better. I can only envy you guys, as the TT is so expensive in Denmark. BTW watch out if you get to a meet with any of these mk 5 guys, TT lover control arms is in high value for them  :signLOL:

I managed to survive Inters without losing them - although I was parked in the back of the TTShop stand rather than out in the open!

Hi Marc, welcome.

You'll have to put more pictures of the TT up here as I don't really frequent Vagoc much and so can't view members rides.  :sad1:

Thanks! I'll see what I can do about the photos. I didn't want to post too many in case somebody thought I was showing off!
