looking to check what power my car is running, party becuase my MPG is off the chart... but for only £50 i think its worth checking out anywhere
would rather go to somewhere that people had good results with
anyone steer me in the right direction? or if there are other slightly further away who do forum discounts that would be good too!
Cheers
Duncan

JKM Portsmouth :happy2:
Nearish Surrey! I'm from Surrey/Berkshire and I go there
-
have found one called rollingroad surrey who arnt too far from me,
portsmouth is quite a drive from where i am - pretty much on the boarder with middlesex (near kingston on thames)
but if they are really good and would provide a better service then could stretch to driving down there
-
JKM are really good, and if there is a problem then they will be able to diagnose it. They have a vast array of knowledge on the 2.0TFSI platform - amongst many other VAG cars.
But I appreciate what you're saying regarding the distance. If your just interested in the power output then any will do really.

there are some in watford i believe

Duncan i would go for the JKM rolling road as your goal is to see why it is possibly running lean and JKM know there onions.

A very well respected rolling road and regarded as very, very accurate. Used by many clubs, etc .....

that was the one i was thinking of, but then car is still under warranty so could just get VW to do a diagnostic... dont mind paying around £50 to see what power it is putting out, and if JKM can do that for the same cash then is probably worth making the drive i guess...
or could just save that and take it straight to my local VW dealer, would be nice to see what power / torque its running though!!

Had never heard of them, but actually they do look pretty good! And are only about an 8 minute drive from my house!! I've been to Qinetiq (where they are based) before to drive on their vehicle test track!

Yep, we test quite a lot of our vehicles on that track, it's always good fun :D

Oh interesting! I was testing the new BMW M3 Coupe there in early 2007! Sometimes I do miss working for a motor manufacturer!

am booked in at Surreyrollingroad tomorrow so will post some feedback.
am going to get them to look at the fuel / air ratios anything else i should look at / ask them.
they should be able to tell whether my car is running to rich or too lean which might explain my terrible MPG.
would also be good to know what power my car is putting out since it has had the WALD conversion
-
Sounds good! Shame I'm at uni tomorrow, otherwise I would have popped over to see you and the car!
Hope it all goes well, and that the car is running ok. :happy2:
-
What time you going mate? if it's in the evening and I've got my car back from VW I might pop over.
