Title: 170bhp 2.0 tdi - loss in power.
Post by: zet on July 26, 2011, 09:03:43 pm
Hi all,

as the title suggests I'm experiencing a loss in power.  However, no lights/warning on the dash are on.  It is most noticeable in gear 1 and 2 (taking longer and higher revs to reach faster speeds).

any ideas?

faulty throttle body, EGR sticking, need to log it and do some output tests really.

Could it be the injectors?  I've heard they are prone to problems.

If it is the injectors, it may be worth having a read through this -

I'll be checking today to see if its a leaky boost.  If not, then see if I can get a VAGCOM connected up and have a full scan done.

Log the EGR and boost blocks, afm block and injection block

After I had my new turbo on I had a boost pipe that had split, the small one coming out of the turbo at the bottom. no lights on the day and no boost,
