Hi does anyone know if having an itg maxogen fitted has any effect to mpg?
-
Usually only due to the driver revving the engine more to hear the new noises :signLOL:

^^^^^^
What dave said is the exact answer

OK cheers guys

Does the itg make much diffrenc power and noise wise
-
Yes and Yes
I noticed a drop in fuel consumption too although mine was added at the same time as an HPFP, (wasnt bad tbh couple of mpg) infact for me fuel wise completly standard i averaged 31mpg stage 1 with an intercooler went up to 34mpg and stage 2+ was roughly back at 30-31 mpg so not to bad at all !
Power wise on its own im not sure what youd be getting but combining it with a map probably about 15-20bhp on a GTI, although id say its wise to go for HPFP at ther same time as the OEM pump seems to struggle to keep up in the mid range. Noise wise it is feckin amazing best smile factor mod you can do IMO :drinking:

....That's right - No significant extra power without a remap, but also a bit wasted without a high flow exhaust such as a Milltek as well.
If you don't want the expense of an aftermarket HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) then remap Revo so the settings can be adjusted. I think you'd drop the fuelling a notch (F9 to F8?) but I let JKM fine tune my car. I'm running a Forge Twintake but gains are similar.

Beware the slippery slope of modding:

I have an ITG fitted to my car along with a Milltek cat back - all prior to my planned remap.
Truthfully I can feel no difference whatsoever power wise and ITG did say not to expect anything whilst standard.
MPG has stayed exactly the same at 28.8 (short urban).
A well made piece of kit though so recommended :happy2:
