Title: Options to have?
Post by: lesalanos on August 02, 2011, 09:55:26 pm
Hi guys,

Looking to buy a mkv GTI in the next 2 weeks.  What options are worth making sure that you have..

Is the sat nav unit good or would a separate Tom Tom be better?

Heated seats.. do they work well?

what else could you not be without?

looking to spend 10-12k on an 07/57 car

cheers

My favourites would be: -

Xenon's
Highline Display
Lux Pack with Folding Mirrors
Front Arm Rest
MFSW

But most stuff can be retro fitted  :happy2:

ETTO, as always, but my must-have list was: leather, DSG, mfsw.  I'd have liked Xenons and folding mirrors, but settled for a sunroof instead.  I had no idea that an armrest was optional - should have been standard - but luckily mine had one, with an iPod dock.

Just don't start a 'what colour?' thread.  It always ends in tears on here!

^^^^what SteveP said

Xenon's
Highline Display (£50 option or so when new, ridiculous to retrofit I think)
Lux Pack with Folding Mirrors
Front Arm Rest
MFSW

I'd add in Sunroof, Winter pack and cruise (easy retrofit)

Seen from a buying perspective, look for winterpack which gives you heated Seats but most importantly headlightwashers so you Wil be able to retrofit xenons for a reasonable amount and make them fully functional. Also they climatronic, as it's almost unpayable to retrofit. Sorry just getting to terms with my new smartphone, apparently a bit to smart for me  :signLOL:
