Hi all, finally get an hour to have a look over the car, tried to pop the bonnet and seems the cable has broken :fighting: and then tried taking the wheels off and find i dont have the locking wheel nut when i brought the car so not very sucessful,
Any help would be great as i had a look and you cant see much, tried pulling the plastic lever under the bonnet but does nothing
thanks craig

the plastic lever under the bonnet can wear against the metal.
If the bonnet pops after pulling the lever in the car, then you just need to pull the bonnet latch/hook sideways.

Thanks for your response, nothing happens at all when pulling the catch

Tug the bonnet up, maybe it's not 'locked' down?

All Sorted, took the plastic panel off that goes around the lever and the cable had pulled out of guide so put inguide and was very stiff but managed to get it open so sprayed half a can of wd40 over it so hopefully be ok now
Thanks for your help

The cable at the coupler above the headlamp on the drivers side has probably popped out because the the cable attached to the bonnet lock is seizing.
Apparently this is a known problem.
I had this issue, in the end had to take drastic measures to get the bonnet open. Worst case being you would have to break various front end parts to get the bonnet open.
I found the cable at the lock to be totally seized. Broke it loose, re greased it etc. Good as new. Removed the lock, cable etc.
Whilst speaking to the dealer about this, its so common they carry, bonnet locks, cables etc in stock!
Regards.
