Title: What do i need to connect my ipod to my head unit

I have the bog standard vw head unit and want to connect my ipod to it by having the connection under the arm rest, can anyone help me with what i need to do this,

You will need the MDI kit, a readily available part from your dealer or online. Plenty of folk on here have retrofitted one.

mdi kits only work on the new versions of vw head units. the rcd 300/500 will work with the below links.
