... look a complete burke :signLOL:
Talk about losing control of the situation..
Apologies if repost :ashamed:
-
I think it makes them both look stupid ... the cyclist is an idiot. Just my view FWIW
-
To be fair, I have a lot of respect for most Police Officers (most of my family work for Lincs Police), but this guy went about it all the wrong way IMO. Even if the other guy was a bit of a tit.. :signLOL:
-
I would have loved to see a chase :popcornsoda: :signLOL:

Think the cyclist was acting like a clown, if he went through a red light then he should take the ticket and admit he did wrong.
I also feel that the officer was trying too hard to be professional whilst not being entirely confident in what he was saying when being challenged.
And yes he could have been arrested for not giving his details when requested as he had commited an offence.
Too many people see these videos and think they are anarchists whilst not being entirely certain of things themselves.
The 'I know my rights' type people, who really have no idea what their rights are.

This was on detailingworld a few months ago.
I hold the same opinion that the Cyclist has his head way too far up his arse and needs a wallop with a trungen! :fighting:

Quite interesting footage. Failure to give your name and address to the police on this occasion gives them no alternative way of dealing with you for the offence. He has to arrest to deal with the matter or let the man off. I would have definitley arrested the man and then i am sure he would have given me the details required and i would have de arrested him. People like the man we meet on a regular basis. Trouble with Pc Stoute was that he didn't explain himself and didn't know what power he had to arrest the man. He failed to take control of the situation and failed to keep an eye on the cyclist and regularly turned away giving the cyclist every opportunity to assault him. Pc Stoutes body language showed his unease and lack of knowledge. Hopefully if he has seen this and learned :happy2:
-
Should have arrested him after asking for name etc details only once, arrested for failure to stop at a red light, taken him down town, where he would have given his details, slap him in cells and then let him be a play thing in his own film!
Job Done.
-
Turned it off after the first minute it really annoyed me that much. It just shows the country we live in today that has absolutely no respect for the police or law. The fact that its put up on youtube for entertainment just winds me up even more grrrrrr!!!!!!
He went through a red light broke the law deal with it!!!!!! Copper should of asked him once if he still refused hand cuffs on and down the station we go let him sit in the cells for a few hours with a few nasty people then see how much of a big boy he is. But if the copper done this he probably would of got in more trouble than the offender for being to forcefull not respecting his rights.
My opinion if you break the law your rights go out the window full stop!!!!! (well to a certain extent anyway)
And no im not a perfect citizen myself but if ive knowingly broken the law I put my hands up and take whats coming to me.
-
Any decent copper would have sorted that little tit out in a moment. Sadly this guy appears not to have met a decent copper, but a supercillious one with a personality bypass and an attitude to match. Lets hope the next time he thinks he's A****ole of The Bailey, he'll meet a police officer who will put him in his place, and engender a little respect for the law, and other roadusers.
I reckon he's not "a student of the law" but a no-win-no-fee ambulance chaser in training. God help one of us if we clipped him while he sailed obliviously through a red light.
T**ts like him should take the bus
-
I wonder if he'd have been so disrespectful to PC Stoute after he'd given him CPR - stemmed the blood flow - cradled him in his arms - waiting for the ambulance to take him to A&E, after he'd saved his life when the artic swiped him running the red light ?
Will the last one out the door remember to turn the light out! :ashamed:

Can't seem to watch the video
What's the name of it so I can search for it on YouTube directly??
Cheers!
EDIT: no to worry found it......
-
You could have arrested him and sent him "down town", but didn't the cyclist state he was on his way to pick a child up from school. You'd be a very brave officer to arrest someone and let a child be unattended after school. I think this was a turning point in the conversation and PC Stout may have held back for that reason?
-
No child would ever be left at the school. Teachers cannot let them go without a parent/guardian someone authorised to collect. Too many scumbags use their children to evade the law. To an officer who knows his stuff this would make no difference whatsoever. I know :innocent:

Video no worky
Anyone got linky?

save yourself 7 minutes of your life, and a lot of anger and don't watch it :signLOL:

I use my bike quite a bit and if I had gone through a red light has he obviously did I would never dream of speaking like that to a police officer...I'm no push over but been a dik and having respect are 2 different things.
Feel sorry for the officer whether he knew the wording or not the guy was in the wrong and if you are stopped on the street i do believe you have to give your details? stop and search doesn't matter if your in a car or on foot :innocent:
Darren

Can't be bothered to watch it again but didn't he say he didn't go through a red light?
Maybe he didn't and the policeman was wrong?
Sorry but that policeman is a superficial one at best and doesn't know the basics which is quite serious IMO.
As an Engineer I am required to know the basics so really no excuse so should he.
It's not just about taking the money and eating donuts!
That last comment I can confirm is true as my mate is an Inspector and loves a donut or six! :signLOL:

But I think everyone loves doughnuts :signLOL:
-
But your mate who is an Inspector never goes outside to work....just to meetings at the council and to the bakers

If you are stopped and searched you don't have to give your name. The officer has certain things to do and say to you but you need not say anything.
Now if you are driving a car or motorbike then thats different and does depend on what you are stopped for. :happy2:
-
I see? I honestly didn't know that thank you :happy2:
Darren

The cyclist went through a red light. If you commit an offence and don't give details that enable the service of a summons you are liable to arrest.
You don't have to give your details if you are stopped and searched as you haven't committed any offence.
-
I thought as long as you drove on the road, that all traffic laws applied to you so you get treated the same as a motor vehicle driver? sure I've read people who were drunk while ridding a pushbike had their licence revoked
-
Nope can't view it either ... What's the title to search on the tube ?
-
Doing stuff on a pushbike has no effect on your driving licence.

Thats what i've said already :happy2:
