Title: 50mm or 55mm Struts on 54 Plate GT TDi 140???

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what diameter the struts are on my wifes GT TDi 140 manual?
I have a chance of some low mileage coilovers from a GTi (55mm) and need to get back to the seller quickly but the wife is away “shopping” with the Golf.....

I would hazard a guess at 55mm

Thanks Gent's, the wife has just came back from the shops so had a chance to get out to measure the struts with a vernier, yes, 55mm diameter.

I think all the GT's had 55mm only the S and SE had 50mm
