Title: Auto on lights

Can anyone confirm if this requires a different headlight to standard?

Nope, headlights are the same.

Thanks mate, does that include copy parts by for example Hella?

I only ask as I am upgrading the lights on swmbos GT to the type with black inners, I have one already but I just contacted a seller who claims that I will have to get genuine OE parts to allow for the auto light function!  :surprised:

It the car doesn't already have auto lights then you will need additional parts to get this to work (like the sensor, loom and different headlight switch for starters).

The car has auto lights fitted, activated from the sensor in front of the rear view mirror, C/H lights are also activated on it, all I want to do is change the standard headlights (chrome inners) to GTi style (black inners) but I can't justify paying out for OE parts and I already have a Hella 'patent' part in the garage waiting for a friend.
