Title: central locking issues!

when i lock the car with the remote, the little red led on the top of the door card stays constantly lit for about a minute then goes to flashing as per "normal"!
any ideas why this is happening?
i dont want to look an idiot if i take it back to vw for them to tell me its meant to do it lol!

IIRC the red light is on while the alarm system initialises, but the car is locked. Once it's blinking, the alarm is fully armed.

I stand to be corrected though...

ah ok cheers, however it does go straight to flashing some times, very weird?
