Title: Will these rub?
Post by: Weston on August 16, 2011, 09:42:08 am
Going camping over the bank holiday weekend and I'm concerned I may have issues with tyre rub. My car is lowered slightly with an Eibach Pro Kit (~15-20mm). The wheels are 19" x 8.5" with an offset of 45.

I've been having some issues at the front (I think) with big dips & rough roads and it looks like I'll have to remove a screw from the arch from searching. Am I likely to have problems with the car loaded up with people & stuff? It was low last year and that was on standard springs.

Anyone? And does anyone know how to do the arch screw removal thing?

Thanks

Do a search for "arch liner" - there are a few posts describing what to do.

Hi mate, really depends on the site your on. I'm currently camping with mine on a 30mm h&r drop, arches haven't caused many problems but the campsite paths here are quite steep in places and my splitter has been kissing Tarmac on occasions! As long as your careful you should be alright. (famous last words!  :signLOL:

Thanks that gives me some confidence. I'll do the arch screw delete mod anyway as it rubs occasionally. Didn't think I'd have issues on such a small drop.
