Polestar C30. Yes please. :popcornsoda:
-
Stick a map on the rs3 then things might change as the polestar is a modded car
-
And a volvo

Not even a production car at the moment but that would be how it left the factory.
As for it being a Volvo well I see that as a bonus. Or you could say it was a Focus RS with 4WD and more ponies.

That says 'the uploader has not made the video available to your country'.

What country are you in Stu?
-
Just the usual.
-
I thought the car was sent from Volvo to polestar who then mod it ie they get a stripped body shell then it's all built at polestar
-
Not in production as of Goodwood FoS as the nice man on the Volvo stand said they were undecided whether they should build it or not. :sad1:

Think it is, as they are a Volvo tuner, if you would ever want to tune a Volvo

Giving away 70ish hp and a lousy launch, I thought it hung on to the ugly Vulva quite well ! I'd have one

I might inhabit my own little world but it is in the UK.
EDIT: It works if you click the option to watch it on YouTube, Stu :happy2:

Still rather have the Audi :happy2:

....Me too. Much better build quality and won't look dated so quickly. The Volvo already looks outdated.
That's a stupid comparison anyway as the Volvo isn't in production. The RS3 vs the BMW M would have been a more realistic comparison. Anyway, the RS3 ain't a hatchback - It's a small estate car aka Avant in Audi-speak.
-
It's a sport back
-
I am with Hedge on this one, the Volvo is the one I would have :happy2:

Me three. The audi is boring to look at. Its so boring that it took me a while to realise that the RS3 at goodwood, was in fact an RS3. It just disappeared into the corporate serialisation that was the Audi stand.
Even if they were equally as quick, equally as fun to drive... id take the volvo every time. But the volvo is quicker!
-
Audi for me too
-
VW need to put that 5 cyl RS engine in a golf like the photos on the R forum show it in a golf R. I forgot all about the RS3 when i noticed them.

For me that is Audi's biggest problem with the RS range, they're unable to successfully differentiate between RS cars, and S-Line cars. It's OK talking about subtly and stealth, but I'd want there to be easily visible clues that my car is an RS3, not a 1.6 with £3K of extras thrown at it. Look at M-Power cars for example - there is no mistaking one, simply because BMW make them very different, and don't allow you to spec their body parts and wheels on lesser cars.

I definitely agree. Two weeks ago I was just cruising to my mates place when an Audi (A with s-line kit or S, I couldn’t tell)3 was getting up my arse. I assumed it was an S as he was trying to hurry me along.
Then we came to some lights and you know what happened…I done him clean :happy2: so I guess it was an A3 with the S-line kit.
That’s the main problem…you can hardly tell the difference. And if I was going to spend £40k on a RS3 I would want to standout from an A3 TDI with an S-line kit.

Rather have an RS3 than a .......................
Diamond Black 2007 (56) Golf GTI 3Dr DSG ¦ 18" Monza II's ¦ Cruise control ¦ MFSW with Paddles ¦ Highline ¦ Rear parking sensors ¦ Colour coded rear bumper ¦ RCD500 (Now upgraded to RNS510 C LED, Brilliant!!)
And I am not the greatest fan of the understated RS3...........
:happy2:
-
Don't get me wrong here folks I would take the RS3 in a heartbeat for all the reasons stated here.
A definite wolf in sheeps clothing which would suit me but I just think the C30 completely bonkers and the Volvo badge helps.
-
to be honest think i like the volvo too :ashamed:

^^ Me too :happy2:
I'd still rather have a 1M than an RS3 Sportback... ... ... an RS3 3-dr on the other hand*...
*...the TT-RS doesn't count, at least to me.

....Have you heard about the 500 bhp Skoda Octavia VRS which has reached 200 on the Bonneville Salt Flats, Ian? Def bonkers!
-
Yes I have Robin.
We are discussing it here. http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,33629.0.html
Not sure on it's on-road usability (or legality without brakes). :surprised:

What country are you in Stu?
He's the Crown Prince of Skodaria. Bow before him!
-
Hmmm, Audi yes please. For several reasons:
1. Much less power but keeps up with Polestar at an even distance
2. Crap Take-off but still manages to keep up with Polestar )at an even distance)
3. Audi quality over Volvo so-called quality
4. Potential to tune Audi. (I know you can tune the Polestar but it's already been tweaked by the Factory)
5. You can't really buy a Polestar.
6. You can't not go unnoticed (when you want to) in the Polestar. That colour is like Ford's Asbo orange!!
7. Range of Bolt-on mods available to the Audi thru the massive VAG Group. C30 is the epitome of Volvo's range.
(Slight Kudos to Polestar for taking a granddad's brand car and giving it that tasty engine)
-
The colour is hardly relevant - if it's ever built I imagine it would be available in different colours. You can after all order the RS3 in Solar Orange
-
The audi for me after seeing that vid of stage 1 TTRS, S-Tronic. :driver: I would be searching hi and low for the best DSG burping zorst and then die happy. :star:
