Ive got a factory fitted i pod connector in the armrest, although i cant connect my i phone to it ! does anyone know of what i need and where to get it ?
im not sure if i can get away with a simple male - female ipod lead, as the problem with this is that my i phone wont fit in the ipod groove as its too big
Any help appreciated

Even if you can connect your iPhone you probably won't be able to take calls on it when it's connected as this is designed for iPod. Do you have bluetooth? If so you should be able to stream bluetooth audio from your iPhone and also take calls. This might sound a bit silly but perhaps the best option would be to get an iPod specifically for the car, they're not that expensive these days and if you wanted to splash out you could get one with way more memory than your iPhone.

Thats the older style iPod dock - it doesn't work fully with the iPhone. It will not charge and you'll get plentiful amounts of mobile phone interference through the speakers
The reason it won't fit is because the nano adapter has been fitted into your iPod dock - it just pulls out then you'll get a full size dock available to you.
