Title: Fitting Lamin-x yellow.
Post by: golf nutter on August 20, 2011, 09:31:47 am
Today i will be mostly fitting yellow Lamin-x to my front fogs!  I may even take some pics along the way.  looks straight forward enough, but i am not the most practical of people.

Piece of cake mate, just be mindful of preparation which is the key to a successful job and make good use of a heat gun to mould the film nicely.   :happy2:

Look forward to the pictures.

thanks fella...i know it's a bit of a love/hate thing on the forum...but i like the look as it's not too harsh against a silver car.

Nice one  :happy2:

Half an hour? Guessing you stopped for a brew  :P

I found the wife's hairdryer gave enough heat to nicely make the film confirm.

Good work anyhow, looks good!

i am really liking the yellow look.  what you think about yellow bulbs too?

cant wait to try them out in some appalling weather!  simple little mod but somehow disproportionately pleasing.

Try doing your headlights, not so easy  :rolleye:
But results are worth it:-

don't think i will be going that far.  i found the trimming quite difficult to be honest, so it's quite nice that the fogs are recessed...not brave enough to trim headlights

what's the brightness like on them with the film on?

I painted my fog bulbs with light specific paint, it made the light a bit yellower, but there wasnt to much differance !
Id probably just leave it as is if i was you, when i do my new golf ill probably still do the bulbs and laminx as ive already got some tint paint left in the bottle.
