.
Quote: "One of the local farmers said they'd seen rescue teams pulling the pilot out of the river."

Does that suggest he survived (so far)?

The crash footage is bizarre - it almost looks to just fall out the sky...

Very sad, why didn't he eject.

Possibly he was too low. Ejection seats are only effective above a certain altitude. There may be other factors we don't know about. Or, he may have been trying to regain control of the aircraft. All speculation at this point.

Very sad, why didn't he eject.

My guess is he was trying to steer it away from houses or a built up area.  :sad1:

I agree with the above , very brave and honourable ! I was out fishing today and the did a very low fly past where we were which was cool but later they came back and one was missing but never thought that anything like that would happen rip

My guess is he passed out or something similar.

Apparently the ground crew knew something wasnt right and asked the bbc film crew to turn the cameras off

I'm truely gutted, these guys (and girl) are my heros. I only saw them a few weeks ago :(

Not display yesterday, they were due to fly their Jets back to Scampton yesterday from Bournemouth where they have been since the accident but this was postponed due to the weather so they flew back today around 12.30ish :happy2:. Apparently they are to resume practice on Tue :drinking:
