				Hi All

Does anyone have a guide for creating a poi database file to upload to my RNS510 from the SD card?

I have FW3810 and 7.2 Maps the RNS is Rev C with the LED screen.

Wishing to convert the speedcamera database from Pocket GPS.

Googled and all I can find is ways of creating a new DVD from the original map DVD using POI inspector and the like

 Cheers

				OMG what have I started...

The new POInspect0r works a treat.

 You need:
 The RNS510 Map DVD
The speed camera POI file.  I used the one from PocketGPS
POInespect0r (you will need to donate at lease €9 to "activate")
A SD card to upload from...

POInspect0r Ver 5.5 will even copy the new DB3 file to the SD card

Darren's write up here gives you the basics, for Ver 5.2

				Should add
RNS510 needs to be rev C or D and FW 38xx to work...
You also need 7.1 or 7.2 maps.

As I understand it 38xx FW will run on older units but with an increased risk of bricking the unit or simply ending up with the battery drain issue again.

I am running 3810 FW on a rev C unit.  The new FW puts three partitions on the hdd, music, maps & POI.  All existing data is lost...

 Hope this helps.

				Hi
 thanks for the info here.
I upgraded to fw 3810 .  (no idea what FW was previously)
My existing 7.1 maqs and mp3's remained.  No poi's.
Upgraded to 3896 and 7.2 maps.
Existing VW poi's are there plus I can import a db3 file of POI's :)
I am sure, however, that my hard drive has not been partitioned.
7.1 maps stayed and when I add extra mp3's the total used GB and remaining space add up to very nearly 20GB ??
The space should be only 15GB with 5 GB allowed for POI's!
 Not complaining, only foxed.
Mine came with a new T5 in Feb 11.
 Any ideas?
