Title: Help please

I have a 56 GTI, friday night i was driving and the emissions light came on nothing happened didnt loose any power nothing like that and the light is still on it wont go off. anyone got any ideas? bit skint at the minute aswell so could do without a big bill! Thanks in advance. :happy2:

Is there any one near you with vcds?

My light is on and it's lambda sensor faulty.

will it go off if it is scanned by vcds and the errors reset?

You could clear the fault and light but if the fault remains it will come back on

I meant so you can read the fault code to find out what the problem is  :happy2:

ah right it looks like il have to find some one with vcds then, i guess it would fail mot with that light on?

Dash light isnt an MOT fail but it's probably on due to emisions so would fail on emisions
