Title: A couple of gloss black touches while its in for repair - opinions
Post by: Tfsi_Mike on August 31, 2011, 05:09:15 pm

Want everyones opinion.

I think it would look good if I had the fog grills painted gloss black and the lower front grill.

Should I have it done while its in for repair?

I think you'd have to do the top centre grill too (bit with the S logo) otherwise it might look a bit odd!

That's already gloss black?

In that case ignore the above. :signLOL:

Should look good... but i think it would be very susceptible to stone chips!

I plan on doing the lower part of the GTi rear valance, front spoiler insert and maybe the outer grilles gloss black on the GT.

If the insurance is paying then do it, your front splitter is gloss black already and the grill.

They look like they have done a good job on them though! I was going to do mine gloss but now leaning towards satin black. I want black side skirts on my golf and my brother thinks plastic black side skirts will look rubbish if I had gloss grilles and stuff so satin it is!

Mine are quite dark as standard.  Wanted my LHD German headlamps swapping back to my RHD English ones.

Thanks   Im loving it.  Just tested a neonydium magnet on my spare bumper to see if my No plate will hold okay so I dont have to drill holes in my shiney new gloss black paint. Holds nicely

It looks really good, i wish my brother did this to his leon fr when he had it.
Only thing i think it needs doing is painting inside the fog lights to hide the red where the grills dont cover.

other than that it looks spot on  :happy2:
