Title: Oil under the car!!

I jacked the car up today as at some point this week i will be changing my intercooler. When i took the bottom panel off there was a small plastic can with oil all around it. Does any one know what this is? Obviously i want all problems out the way before i remove the old IC! Thanks in advance!!

The cannister is made of plastic and may well have cracked causing oil leakage. If not tightened properly the same may occur.

I've only ever had to order the inner filter element, sorry

Post by: WILLZIE on September 03, 2011, 11:32:37 am: Theres an orange nipple inside that cap, you can depress it to release the oil out first without unscrewing the whole canister before taking the filter out! (designed to be less messy), but your also supossed to press it again to releae it, otherwise oil will just pi$4 out!, this may of been forgotten and just the cap screwed back on!
