Just seen the above on Pistonheads.....anyone's on here?
Great to see the original and first off the line is still in one piece
-
That is great to see,I would be surely tempted as that is a great price, the guy is obviously keen to pass it on before he leaves the country.Just a shame it has no extra's like Zenons,muti-functional wheel etc etc.

Thats what I thought, especially being an ex demonstrator

would have thought it would have been fully loaded, shame.....but still nice to have the first model and suppose most options can be retro fitted these days

Please excuse my pessimistic attitude, but i just don't see what the value would be in buying this car??? VW made 2300 of them :rolleye: Unless you plan to keep it for your great Grand children the build number means nothing. All you would do is buy it and own it for 3-5 years then sell it. The only people interested in the build number would be fellow ED 30 owners, and they all know that there are thousands of them. A great car yes, but a completely worthless build number.
I know i should be put in front of a firing squad for my blaspheme but it is just how i see it.

Word :signLOL:
It's a cherry on the top as the cars priced keenly as well. Doesn't this mean it was just the first in the UK? Not necessarily first off the line?
-
aside from the build number.... £10995? that pretty cheap for a real good car! i remember when i was 17 i bought my first GTI for the same price! it was a 25th anniversary Golf GTI Mk4 with 55k on the clock! i sold it for £9950 3 years later too!

So according to this guy a red ED30 looks better the dirtier it is.....at least you'll save money from all the cleaning products now all you red Eddie drivers  :signLOL:

Didn't VW just send the plaques out at random?.

Nice to own the first one off the production line. Something thing unique to add to the conversation!!
