Title: Mk5 Golf GTI/Edition 30. Noises/Clicking in the engine bay, normal?
Post by: Shorty on September 04, 2011, 06:03:50 pm
Alright guys.

I'm on the hunt for an Edition 30 now and ive just been to see a nice car...

However, in the engine bay when it was running, it seemed to have a couple of like clicking noises from around the front of the engine?

Is this normal? I know on the 18T's its inj the and the vacuum cannister on the drivers inner wing. But im new to the 2 litres!

Also, anything else i needed to look out for? The car in question was DSG, had a new mechatronic valve not so long back, seemed to drive perfect...

Cheers for any help. :)

Fuel pump priming. Satnav, if fitted, warming up.

I'd say just the familiar sound of a direct injection engine! Nowt to worry about  :happy2:
