Title: Help: Switched/ignition live
Post by: will130787 on September 09, 2011, 09:43:02 pm
Just a quick one guys, the only thing I could find on this was an faq with mentioned a pressure sensor on the ac unit, that's a bit beyond me to be honest! Where does everyone run a switched live from? Will be used for my head unit and amp. My first thought was cig lighter but they seem to run constant rather than switched.... Help please

When I bought my Golf it had a handsfree kit in it, with a feed taken from the diagnostic port (just above the bonnet pull-lever). I still use it as an amp remote three years on.

There's probably a beefier switched live in the centre console somewhere though.

Plenty of free slots in the fuse box to pick-up a switched live  :happy2:
