Post by: NEWEY on March 31, 2009, 01:07:58 pm
That i want the milltek down pipe and sports cat for the golf  what i want to know is how much louder is it over just a normal non res cat back. also what type of noise does it make same as the cat back but louder?

1) You do need it.
2) It is louder, not around town/tickover, but certainly when you give it some... howls like a stabbed tiger in a cyclone. Expect more pops & bangs too
3) Totally worth it, not for BHP/Tq.. but spool and responce
4) You need it.

Jings, I only got mine yesterday too...  :happy2:

One of the best mods for a MKV. If you couple a non-res Milltek TBE and a remap, they go like stink and they sound great  :happy2:

DO IT!!!!  :jumpmove:

Definately go for it, but my advice is to get the Ed30 back box as the std GTI Milltek is not as good with its clamp on tail pipes!

The difference in noise between CB and TB is about the same as the difference between CB and standard. ( or that's how it sounds to me)  It sounds glorious when giving it the beans  :driver:  :driver:

About £500 for a remap.  £700-£1000 for a full milly and about half that for the cat back.  :driver:
