Just sold my Audi S3 8L (mark 1) and bought a 2006 GTI. So far, very happy with it. I've had 2 x MK3 GTIs and 2 MK4 GTIs in the past so it was about time I got a MK5!
Performance wise it's very similiar to the S3, although the Golf does feel more nimbler though.
I need to buy a couple of tyres in the next few months, so any recommendations would be great :happy2:

Time of year to be searching for winter tyres now ;)

Cheers Mike. No winter tyres for me!
My wife's got an A4 2.0T Quattro that did ok in the snow last year, but still not good stopping. Will just leave them parked up if we have another dump of the white stuff .

I preach about them every year, leave it too late and then cant afford them. Car was on Toyo R888s last year :scared: Needless to say it didnt go very far in the German winter lol
