Depends on your budget and whether you plan to go to Stg 1, 2 or 2+?

Manual or DSG?

air ride  :jumpmove:
custom interior
brakes
rims
exhaust
rear lights
led lighting
mk6 goodies
handling bits and bobs

the list is endless buddy, good luck and depends on how deep your pockets are  :signLOL:

You'll get it mapped, then you'll want it to breath better so then follows an exhaust and intake. By the time you got those bits fitted you may as well go stage 2. Before you know it you will have well and truly been bitten by the modding bug and things will have spiralled out of control. How many times i've heard people say "it was only meant to be remapped"  :signLOL:

Totally agree "Depends on budget"

and what you like/want from your car. I like the inside to be lush.....personally and for me it was

- Centre armrest (if you don't have one)
- RNS510 is a must < Love it.
- Cruise control
- Multi F/steering wheel
- Bluetooth etc etc.

I like gadgets etc. and want the inside to have all the little feature it can, where I spend most of my time. Once happy.....with make start on the outside.

If you get Stage 1 remap then I would also budget for an uprated clutch - Sachs/Helix as it wont last forever even on Stg 1.

Forge quickshifter - cheap affordable mod along with dogbone insert to stop wheel hop.

Upgrade front brakes - R32/Porsche Cayman

Think they are the must haves at Stg 1 BUT dont do what I did and go to Stg 2+ without sorting suspension/transmission first as my clutch failed after about a week at Stg 2+!

.
We're all different in what we like and therefore our priorities. For me it's in the following order:

1 - Milltek: Because I hate driving any vehicle in which I can't hear the engine, regardless of power.

2 - Handling: Suspension including ARB's.

3 - Brakes.

4 - Intake and various other engine hardware mods.

4 - Remap.

5 - Cosmetic: Purely for eye-candy.

You goes know about Sedox performance remaps? Any good? Do you really have to think about all that for stage 1? I thought just a new panel filter and dv vavle would be enough??

if you want to go stage 2 wouldnt it be better to get all the stuff for stage 2 and then get it mapped?

no point paying for a stage 1 map then going for another map later on..

Cheap Mod is the Auto Boot release, ideal for smacking people in the face when they decide to try looking in the boot :signLOL:

My parts arrive tommorow so i will invite the in-laws around to look at the back of my Ed30

Mine is standard atm (Got it Saturday)

But number 1 on the list is to have the rear valance, side skirts colour coded white (Booking it in tomorrow for next Saturday when I go on holiday for a week)

Number 2 is going to be the head unit!

Then it will be time to reassess!

No exhausts for me, prefer a quiet journey!  :driver:

usual suspects have already been mentioned , but for me one of the first and best things i ever did was fit a boost guage.
