Almost one week into owning my 2008 Mk5 GTI and 'fair chuffed' would be an understatement!
However, some shared experience or advice of the following would be nice..
On the overrun, about one second after releasing the accelerator, the standard exhaust gives a short 'burble' much like when you change up on a DSG, but not as loud. Sounds good, but is this normal?
Secondly, on some cold starts the car hesitates to fire up. Not a major delay, between 0.5 and 1 second longer than a warm start. Any ideas folks?
Cheers, John

Puts me at ease a bit, not that the exhaust noise was concerning me ;)
I noticed the starting delay when I went for the test drive and the salesman said it was due to it not being started for a few weeks..but after getting it home its done it a few times on daily cold starts, a sort of splutter/attempt to start, then a short delay, then business as usual. Dirty plugs? Car has done 29k, currently running some injector cleaner through the fuel just in case its not been done in a while

New plugs wont make any difference. Mines had new coil packs, plugs, Diverter valve and PCV valve changed, and still she mumble's alittle on cold starts or after being left for a couple of days.
Sweet as a nut from warm starts as always.
