They seem ok from what ive read but there rolers are not the most accurate in the world. I think they also do Revo now aswell as their own maps

Had stage 1 put on my car at AMD a little while after buying my GTI and whilst most people will agree that the rollers there are very generous you'll probably looking at getting more like 245ish. Most remaps from the main companies all give about the same kinda figures so usually comes down to other factors as well like

- cost
- location
- reputation

Stage 1 totally transforms the car  :driver: obviously a lot more responsive and just generally a quicker car after doing it. Didn't have any problems afterwards but got my DV changed at the same time as i was loosing boost so was a bigger leap in power for me as i was down on it to start with  :signLOL:

MPG is a funny one cos if you drive like miss daisy it gives more miles to a tank but for the first few weeks you'll be flying around so it'll seem like its worse till you get that out of your system a bit  :driver:

But once you do get used to the increase in power you'll catch the bug and want more....... slippery slope indeed

No prob's mate you'll definitely be very happy with the results no matter who you decide to go with

Bit more advice tho i'd recommend upgrading your DV to either a rev D OEM one or a forge, like i did, if you haven't done that already and maybe an better air filter like a pipercross etc  :happy2:

Been speaking to a few companies today and jkm will do stage 1 revo change the dv valve and panel filter for 550 + vat, the car needs a service in 2000 miles and they said get that done first and then remap it and by that time revo might have an offer on again, think I will wait till then!  :happy2:

Most companies will do simlar deals for you if your after more of a package like that, if your going with a Revo map and live in london JKM in portsmouth is a fair distance but would be a very fun drive home  :driver: guessing that your closer to AMD already from you earlier post.

Could even wait for one of the big car shows and see what deals can be had on the day

Yeah is a bit of a trek bud!! Split between the two companies really, both are very established and good reps!!! I'm going to the vw players tomorrow in North weald so hopefully might be something there? You still running stage 1?

Yeah you looking at 240-245 stage 1... anyone who quotes more than that are playing the 'numbers' game.

Running AMD's stage 2+ map at the mo so on about 270-280bhp  :driver: the difference from stage 1 feels like the jump from standard to stage 1 and adds about 25-30bhp over stage 1
