You totally sympathise and empathise with Blinky. Only programmed to serve and obey. Very powerful movie, could be used to teach a lot of kids a few things.

Buys Robot, thinking it will bring his family back together. Love it to start with, then gets bored of it. Angered by his parents split and frustrated that he doesnt have a perfect family, he mistreats the robot. The robot malfunctions, as it gets confused with his mistreatment. He reboots the robot, but it only remembers the boys last 2 commands. "Kill my parents, kill me". So it does. "No problem".

I thought it was a great short film. The saddest part was when Blinkys shopping bags burst and the boy didnt help him, and also when he made Blinky count backwards from 1,000,000 in the rain. Quite sad, and highlights how bullying similarly can take place.
