My bet is that it will be infamous 'boost pressure control - positive devaiation' fault. (stuck VNT mechanism)
-
Cheers guys.typical I have one remotely close to me with the fault reader.
-
Just read up on the vnt thing and it defo seems like that.will trawl the net and see what's the next best course of action.
-
i have had this in my gt tdi and if i remember someone sayin its called 'limp mode' its a saftey things because of the power or something. :driver:
-
Yeh mate that's exactly it.soon as you switch off and back on it's fine.il find a local garage who know there vw's and see what they say to it.
-
yer mine has done it about 3 times and its usally after i give it a boot along a road (staying within the speed limit) and then go around a corner. But it isnt anything to worry about.

But it isnt anything to worry about.
lol i have a different opinion, your car going into limp mode after accelerating is something to be concerned about! Especially if you know how to make it do it.
-
Yeh it's defo something to worry about and will be going in to a garage asap for Vnt cleaned out.have emailed a4audi in Glasgow as they do vw also.
-
have you got any warning lights showing when it goes in to limp mode?
-
No none attall mate.
