Title: 2008 Standard Headunit - how many speakers
Post by: john87 on September 19, 2011, 09:52:11 am
When I was in the dealers, I leafed through a mk5 brouchure and noticed it mentioning a '10 speaker audio system' as standard on the GTI. However I've noticed in mine, there are only 4 speakers in the front as opposed to the 6 I was expecting...what's the consensus?

cheers John

Based on mine - 55 plate

6 in the front...t10 in the door and the tweeters..
4 in rear doors......amp under passenger seat.

This is the soundpack upgrade - think the standard is 8 speakers.

10 was standard with an MFD2/RNS510, otherwise you had to pay for the upgrade

Standard fit normally is 8 (2 in each door)

early cars all had the 10 speakers then the switch to MY06 saw the reduction unless as Alex says you have the Nav units.
