Evening all this weekend im going on a mass Mk5 hunt. Im after a 3 door do with DSG would prefer xenons but they seem extremely rare. Other than that other opitions would be a bonus.
Is there anything i should look out for when buying one things to check specifically for a Mk5 Golf. Ive got someone viewing my car on sunday so going to try view as many GTi's this weekend as possible.
Any help would be much appriciated.

cars above 60k miles/5 years need a cam belt and
fuel water pump change
other than that all the standard stuff. i don't know what goes wrong with a Golf, I drive an A3 with the same engine so that's about as much advice as i can give.
happy hunting.

Also check the air con is working. A well known problem in Mk5's and can be very expensive to fix. There seem to be more out there with failed air con than not. But if you can live without air con don't let that put you off a great car.
