Title: ''W'' or ''Y'' rated tyres?.

As above do they need to be Y rated?. Even my ED 30 will get no where near the max speed rating for either of these?.

I'm sure the specified tyres for the golf are Y rated... the ones on my car are 88Y, should be 92Y...

should be 92y the 92 is the loading deck and the y the speed rating :happy2:

Plus there could be insurance implications if you don't have the correct tyres fitted...
