SO its a nice warm day today.. got in the golf and it didnt really ever cool down. It was just a short 5 min drive but in my van and previous cars thats enough for ice cold air to be blowing out.
This has recently had an aircon sevice (2 months ago) so wondering if its just not a very effective aircon? I remember my S3 was never as cold even when freshly topped up.
-
Mine takes a while to get really cold, my girlfriends Yaris is virtually instant. When I had it topped up it was blowing air at 6C which is pretty cold.
Was the "Econ" button on?
-
mine is instant.
-
Econ was not on.
When I press the econ button you can hear the engine note change but I can't tell a difference in air temp really
-
Mine is ice cold 30 seconds or so after turning it on. VAG air conditioning is very good in my experience.
-
Hmm need to get mine checked then. Odd as it
Was def serviced in July though. Maybe there was a leak
-
I don't really understand mine..it certainly doesn't get that cold..I have 2 buttons 'dual' and 'econ'..what's the difference?
-
I'm smuggling peanuts after about 2 minutes.

If you press econ the air con is off so air just blows about
-
So 'dual' means the aicon is on?
-
Dual < this simply controls the temp on the left hand side and right hand side.......you can adjust them independant or 'dual' - look at the temps you will see when you adjust the drivers side, it will also change the passanger side. You can have warm air on left....cold on the right....or both the same
Econ < When the light is on this is basically the aircon OFF. When the light is OFF this will give you the coldest/aircon option. Believe ECON was just an economical mode.

how do you get yours on dual?

Gotcha..thanks Johnny.
