Post by: AndyED30 on September 26, 2011, 12:21:41 am
I brought an ED30 about 6 weeks ago and I'm loving life!

Belonged to one of the administrators on here and in great condition, thank you

Now..............what can I do to it to make it a little quicker.....................

I did! Can't stop cleaning the bloody thing as it was spotless when I got it. And still is............

Love the car, glad I went for the ED30 and not a standard GTI.

Hello and welcome Andy, you got a very good motor there, Nath has an OCD when it comes to his cars. I bought his old GTI from a main dealers and it to was immaculate!  :happy2:
Sounds like you need to speak with Nath about what map is best to put on her! :happy2:

Yeah I think it just needs that little bit more

After reading pretty much all of the threads on here about re-mapping etc I think most people seem to have gone down the Revo route, don't think I'm too far behind them.................maybe with a Milltek too me thinks.................

Yes just a light one from the previous owner, nothing too dark which is the way I like it to be honest.

Just saving/thinking what I should add in due course

Hi Andy,

Glad you found us eventually!

The tints are factory by the way!  :happy2:

With regard the remap, take her into Revo HQ and tell them the code is loaded but been put into stock mode by the previous owner and they should be able to reinstate it for you!

PS, modding is a very slippery slope!  :driver:

Hey Nathan I think you said you still had the revo 'sps switch' when I was at yours? Will that still work or am I talking nonsense?

Cheers, Andy.

Sorry buddy I sold it, but as I said if you contact Revo they should be able to sort the map out and sell you an SPS! There not a million miles from you either!  :happy2:

Your car looks stunning..

Are you using anything special to clean it?

I also have a diamond black ED30 and it's a job to keep it looking clean so if you have any recommendations they would be welcome.

Nothing out of the ordinary, just washing it thoroughly with Autoglym car shampoo with a mitt and drying it properly with megs towels. It needs waxing soon though for the winter.

I was lucky enough to buy it from someone who really looked after the paintwork too.

What do you use to clean yours?

Looks mint, my last car was a MK4 1.8T in Magic Black and a pain to keep clean and polish, but when it was done looksed great, I got Candy white now, apart from having to wash it every 3 days im lovin it lol.
