New to this site and need some help with my gti.
I recently bought a bluefin and installed this on my car. As soon as i started up my car it started to judder. I drove the car around for a while to see if it needed to get used to it, as soon as i got the the lights it cut out!!
i have had to take off the bluefin remap because i just cant drive it. Spoke to superchips, they said theres nothin wrong with the map they have sent and told me to retry. I have done this and its still the same.
Any ideas on what this could be??

First stop should be to do some logging with VCDS to check for fault codes, rough idle normally points to PCV issue but it is odd that the change in software causes it to worsen (I assume from your post that under normal software the issue goes away) you really need some help from someone who can scan the car.

thanks for the reply. Yes it seems fine when the factory software is back on. I will get the pcv checked and scanned and see what comes back. I thought it could be the dv but ive replaced this with an aftermarket one.
do you know if this could be caused by a boost leak?
cheers

boosy leak would only really affect driving if the issue is at idle then it will be something else, biggest issue at idle is PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) if you remove the oil filler or dipstick while it idles you will see what a failed PCV looks like it will go lumpy and horrible. Without a VCDS scan its really stabbing in the dark as it could be any number of things so first thing get it scanned.
Can you not scan the car with the buefin handset for code errors in the ECU DTC?

ok will have a look at it later. Yes scanned with bluefin but it didnt bring up any fault codes apart from my airbag light which has now been wiped off. thanks for your help.
will let you know
cheers

Sound like theys are problem in the file youve been sent. If PCV was faulty, it would be doing it in Stock mode aswell.
Insure they have given you the correct transmission type for your Ed30..
Just from experiance, i have had a few issues with Bad files in the past from SC.

Sounds like a map fault, I had same issue when I got the header wrong on timing map.
