Title: Potential Ed 30 Owner says Hello!
Post by: TurboTrev on April 02, 2009, 01:10:38 pm
Hi - new to this forum (didn't know it existed until yesterday!), but I've been around on other Golf (UK-mkivs) and Scirocco forums.  I've owned Mark 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 GTIs and I've just sold my 2009 Scirocco (couldn't get in and out very well - bad knees) and I'm now looking to buy a late Edition 30 (see wanted ad).  I know Wigit on this forum via the Scirocco forums, so hello to him and everyone else.

Cheers for now.   Trev.

Welcome

I am new here myself having only found the forum 2 weeks ago having just picked up a GTi Pirelli

Had the Pirelli remapped already and having a load of fun.

The ED30's are common as muck  :P, how about stretching to a Pirelli, there are only about 250 in the UK

Only joking, any GTi is a great car

Eh up Trev!

Long time no speak mate! Good (potential) choice!!! You looking for newest Ed30 possible then? I got a brand new Pirelli on Monday, loving it, still some unregistered examples around in the dealer network with a decent discount. Let us know how you get on.

if you swap the dodgy seat trim for tartan and get some bbs wheels the pirelli is a nice car

Now then Mick, yes long time no speak!  Wigit had mentioned that there was still a few Pirellis around, what sort of price are they going for, maybe if I can't find an Ed 30 I might need to check one of these out.  Trev.

Nice one Trev! I passed a white Ed30 on the M1 yesterday, looked good! Needed the exhaust "diffuser" section of rear bumper painting black though   But I'm sure you've already got a few tricks up your sleeve!

Diffuser section will "blacked" as a matter of urgency, just need to find somewhere in the north east that does vinyl wrap - anyone??

come on trev where are the pics........

:signLOL: They will be coming as soon as I've got the bottom bits of my bumpers wrapped.  The guy doing it had a bit of difficulty with the bit above the exhaust in that you could see some white paint around the joint.  He took it all off and is going to have another go shortly.
