Title: Rattling noise on idle
Post by: Black9 on September 29, 2011, 06:45:11 pm: So I have a rattling noise which seems to be coming from the engine bay, at first I thought it was maybe the engine cover but turns out it's not. It's not always rattling but when it is, if I turn the heating on it seems to go away :confused:

Any ideas what it could be

With solid engine mounts the noise from my DMF is horrendous :scared:

have a look at the air con pulley.

Could it really be that serious :surprised: there's no juddering when pulling away and it go's away when heating turned on

Yes it go's away when heatings on and isn't constantly rattling, where would I find the ac pulley. Near the smaller fan :confused:
