Hey guys I'm gona have a bash at fitting my new rcd510 tomorrow, got pics on how to fit it ? but how straight forward is it and what should i be looking out for? any hints & tips..!or should I pay to get it done?, as my wife says "i have the technical skills of a block of wood" :( lol. Any help in the Edinburgh area would be most grateful.

What age is your car? Its a pretty simple job! You will need a trim removal kit and torx 25 or 20 can't remember! I forgot one screw that's near the windscreen where the vent is!

It's a september 2007 gti, I have a torx set so should be ok but don't have a trim remover set ?

Well you will prob need that otherwise you may scratch the interior!

You may need an aerial adaptor if you're starting with a second gen head unit. See:

its really quite a simply install, i fitted mine in about 20 mins although i had no coding etc!

Thanks for all the help and posts :) it's all fitted now took my time and was finished in about an hour 1/2 looks and sounds fab :)
