What is it with the clutch on the mk5? Mine's not got long left on it either and it's only done 16,000 miles .
I've got two months of warranty left, so I'm treating my clutch like the bitch it is to try and get it to go before then.

^^That's not good news. When I phoned my local dealers to tell them it was going they seemed to think it would be no problem to get it done under warranty? I hope they're not  bs'ing over the phone just to try and hit me with a bill when I take her in. :fighting:

my dealer told me that my clutch wasnt covered under warranty - may have got that wrong though - and that was when i was just going through what was covered - he thought i had a manual so different case for DSG most probably

Try the link below.

They operate as VW Racing, based in MK, and a great bunch of petrolheads, who really look after you.

Golfman im having identical issues to what you have described. I hope it is something like a fault code as Im not looking forward to parting with £500+ on a clutch.

Hopefully will be having the car scanned this week so i will report back.  :happy2:

I fitted a new set of gti pedals and i remember turning my ignition on and the dash coming up with a workshop message,i tried to push the accelerator pedal and got nothing, then tried pushing the clip on the pedal in more and the workshop message went away and back to normal, but obviously it still had registered a fault so thats maybe why my revcounter was not working right :surprised:
