Usually I go to work by train as I work in Central London.. However next couple of weeks I am on a course in Colindale north London, start time is 7:30am which is too early for any of the trains from where I live to get me into central and up the northern line :(
I could drive to falconwood station in south east London, train it to charing cross and northern line to colindale or is it worth attempting to drive it all the way round? is there still massive bottlenecks in the north circular? Or am I best off on the m25
Any suggestions welcome as it's been ages since I have had to go there and last time I just found some digs

Most days I use one or the other, the north circ still has the bottle neck and all the traffic lights after the A10 with the addition of roadworks. M25 is roadworks til the a12 and then more from the a1 onwards.
If your course starts at 7:30 you should miss most of the traffic but from where I am near lakeside I'd leave at 6 to givesome leeway as you can leave the same time everyday but one little problem on any of them roads and it's buggers everything.
Just having googled it and seen it's just off junction 2 on the M1 I would personally go M25/M1 but it all depends where your setting off from

Hi,
thanks for the link, very helpful :)
I used the North Circular and actually got there an hour early lol (however I know its one of those things that if i was to leave 30mins later i would be 2 hours late!! so hour in the gym before starting sounds good to me :)
I used it on the way back too and hit that bottle neck which did slow things down a bit, i'll try the m25 home tomorrow!
