ok i,m trying to sort out a few changes i,m gonna make to the car.
there are gonna be some real dumbo questions here so forgive my ignorance.and let the flaming begin if need be! i,m the male car equivalent to the essex dumb blonde, except i,m 6-2" and 18stone bald head and look like a bouncer apparantly
if there are posts/threads that stop any repeating they would be great.
first is
1.the remap... research under way and i got a mate who will help with that too.
2. do i really need the milly/blueflame- what are the advantages aprt from the obvious sound and cosmetic look? is it too chav to just put on chrome at the ends?
3.coilovers-what do they do? is it just lowering or more than that?(told ya they were dumb)again how much and where? i want my car to look more aggressive in its stance rahter than out and out change in performance and the way she drives.
4.i love the red front splitter on the black car so where/ how much/ what to look for -differences?
5.luuurve the paddle extensions ive seen and heard there are ally ones which i quite like sound of esp as i wanna add few a few nice shiny bits to the interior(ther knobs switches etc) again where and what and how much?
5. toying with idea of the black badge but not sure yet- again where and how much?
6.alloys- i like my monzas as they are big part of the gti look and essence but thinking the monza 2's jsut somehow look the dogs again how much where why?
or do i go with the others i love the bbs or pesc's jsut somehow for me they lose that gti essence altho they look mad cool(waffling now!)
so.... any help response flaming generl piss taking at my ramblings, everything welcome.
i am chuffed to bits with my car but i know she can look just that bit more special and i would like to start budgeting so that perhaps each month or two i can add just a lil bit more so that if i ever dare to attend a meet you lot wont be too ashamed of me and my car lol
thanks for all your( ) help

1. Do the research and see which would suit your needs most
2. The exhaust will give a bit more power and make it feel like it revs easier, personal preference. Personally I'd get one :happy2:
3. Coilovers have different benefits depending on which ones you get, plain and simple height adjustable ones will give you the desired "agressive stance" whereas more expensive adjustable damping and rebound will give you a decent track setup.
4. Greenhouse's splitter is an Edition 30 splitter with the centre section vinyl wrapped/painted (I can't remember which)
5. Don't know - sorry
6. You can either buy a set from VW new or a second hand set from lots of places, ebay, here etc OR buy replicas.
Welcome :drinking:

black badge is easy just take yours off and rub down and spray black and add laquer if u want on top/ job done
-
Ok I am going in, somebody hold onto my feet.
1. Re- map just make sure you go for a top brand and you cant go far wrong.
2. The zorst will open up the capabilities of the map and engine, and the new sound changes the whole feel of the car, make sure its a turbo back zorst though to unleash the extra power.
3. Coilovers are basically a uprated suspension, new springs and new shocks, they make the car handle and stay balanced when you are doing spirited driving. The extra advantage of coilovers, over normal upgrade's is you can adjust the ride height to suit your needs.
4. This looks gay dont do it  only kiddin Send greenouse a PM
5. Yes you can get alu ones cost a bit more than the carbo fibre ones.
6. Monza II expect to pay a lot for these, unless you buy reps. Make sure you get good quality reps if you go down this route.

Thanks Steve... I really do like the aluminium ones... shame you have to stick them on with 3M tape!!!
-
^^^ Why is the 3M tape an issue???
-
Well, the thought of having bits stuck on my car with sticky tape? No?

Well, the thought of having bits stuck on my car with sticky tape? No?
Modern glue on said tapes is really strong, i would worry more about getting them off.
-
Has anyone had experience of the 3M tape provided to fix the paddle extensions? It's just that the DSG paddles have ridges behind them and do not provide a flat surface to bond with tape...
Reviews + comments on long term product use would be great...
I think I'm going to see how much the TTShop can get them for...

Trouble is, in the winter with aluminium, you just wont wanna touch them, because they will be forever freezing! They may look good, but will end up useless here in Blighty!
