Title: Battery Swap - Dash Now Illuminated
Post by: edition_30 on October 08, 2011, 04:50:51 pm
Decided to replace my battery today in prep for the winter and must have had the old battery disconnected for a good hour.

Upon installing my new battery my dash is now lit up with various warnings as per the image below.

Any ideas why and how to remove as they were not there prior to me swapping the battery.

Also will i loose my revo?

Thanks

If you don't have access to VCDS to clear them, then drive slowly in a straight line for a few hundred feet and it should remove at least two of the lights. It's normal after the removal of power to see some lights.

Hi

Start the car > Turn wheel hard right >Turn hard left

drive the car and keep the speed below 20mph till lights go out

I changed my battery today and had the same warning lights come on.

I just drive up the road as normal and they all went out. :happy2:

You won't loose the Revo, but you may have lost the Revo settings.  If you don't have an sps switch then you will need to pop to a dealer to have the setting re applied.
