Title: RNS 510 with VBR MP3s

Think I've just stumbled across the fact that the RNS 510 doesn't recognise or play MP3s encoded using variable bit rate (VBR)?

I'll do some further tests by checking if the same files play when I re-encode them as CBR MP3s.

After tinkering around for a month I can confidently say that RNS 510 can only recognise MP3s encoded using a constant bit rate (CBR).

Looks like I'll be reconverting some of my MP3s...unless there is a firmware update issued by VW.

They issue firmware relatively frequently, but I cant see one including VBR playback.
