Title: Bulbs for standard headlights
Post by: andrewparker on October 09, 2011, 08:21:13 pm: Hi guys, I've got a parking light out and thought it might be a good opportunity to upgrade my standard bulbs.

Anyone got any recommendations? Quite like the sound of the Philips Blue Vision bulbs...

I guess upgrading the main (high) beam is pretty pointless?

Post by: john87 on October 10, 2011, 01:04:38 pm: I fitted Ring Xenon max and they're good, but I found the Philips xtreme to have a crisper white light. Ring's offering were a fari bit cheaper though!

Post by: andrewparker on October 14, 2011, 09:08:35 am: I changed mine to the Philips Blue Vision yesterday and I have to say, I'm very happy with them. Vision is improved and they have a far more pleasing colour to them. I was a little concerned because the sidelight bulb is full blue, but that doesn't translate when the lights are on, it's just a nice white light.

And changing them was very easy I thought. You just need some long nose pliers to help get to the sidelights.
