Title: what broke my downpipe??

can anyone enlighten me on why the d/p broke on the flexi joint??

Standard DP?

Yeah normally excess movement of the engine,(fatigue)... whats spec of car? Is there any corrosion?

standard spec till remap last week..no corrosion on pipe just a good rip...yes standard d/p..thanks

I would say excess movement in engine mounts after remap give exxtra torque, best get a lower mount insert as minimum...(not to self - I need one too!)

High EGT's (exhaust gas temps) can also cause exhaust damage.

thanks guys..after further inspection i need a new lower mount and maybe i will try an insert...are the powerflex ones ok?
