Well today started with a nice drive from Essex to Leicestershire to get my remap from Rtech booked in for 3pm but arrived bit late courtesy of m25 & m1 :fighting:
Car is a stock Black 5 Door Mk5 GTI from the dealers and i decided to remap it after my 1 year free warranty has expired.
Overall i am very happy with the results and when i took it for a quick test drive after the Remap was finished, i definitely noticed the difference straightaway but couldnt do too much with everyone leaving the area at rush hour, so alot of foot down and quick braking :chicken:.
I was quite surprised though with what the graph shown of the stock performance of the car! didnt expect it. I will post some pics of the graph later this week !
But had some fun this evening when i got back and was well worth it :driver:. All in all , Great bunch of guys, friendly, honest and informative and will get on VWs case on the coil packs :happy2: plus the dude who does your mobile mapping is a laugh! - dont be suprised Nick if he is AWOL
thanks again and cheers to all at R tech - definitely recommended! :drinking:

Half 9. The logs were done separate & compared, not done together :happy2:

So you gained about 35bhp.
Is that rather conservative or about right? :popcornsoda:

If you look at the curves on the graph you will see the power gains worked out at around +43bhp +66lbft which is realistic from a stock stage1 setup, I dont work from head line peak graph numbers, I am more of a more area under the curve man.. That about as good as your going to get a stage1 setup running, with real dyno numbers.
-
Out of interest how much is a stage 1 re-map at R-tech?
I've got a SS exhaust & twintake to fit, would it be worth fitting them then doing re-map or does it not really matter what order I do it?
