I think I need to replace my rear disks, is it a case of calipers off, take ot he retaining screw for he disk and he disk falls off?
Are there any bearings or anything else to worry about?
Cheers,
Mat

if a Gti - You need to remove the caliper carrier as well. Which can be a pain.

I don't know about the GTI but on the 140 GT tdi once the screw on the disc is undone, with a bit of persuasion the disc just drops off. The new one goes on just as easy.

You'll need a m14 spline tool.
Some serious muscle to undo the nuts holding the carrier on.
Took me about 1hr to do both sides discs and pads

As said already m14 spline tool needed. I changed mine last year fronts were a doddle but the rears were a pain purely down to how tight the nuts were that were holding the carriers on.
