Title: Vag com cheap

I took the plunge and it was delivered the next day and works fine on my can based mk5 golf.
Is this fake because i dont understand why it was so cheap and works 100%

Post by: stealthwolf on October 12, 2011, 07:36:06 am: Only rosstech make genuine cables and they're from America. They cost a fair bob but they come with support. Others have had problems with fake ones including not working and havin to use old cracked versions of software.

The seller wasn't interested, and told him that his car broke the cable! So he bought another one. That means he has spent £160 on unofficial unsupported cables. For £250, he could have got the real deal.

Plus I'd rather support Ross Tech directly for the excellent work they've done with VCDS.

Ross Tech are the best in this field for all of the above and worth every penny imho.

When he spoke to rosstech they said the software is free demo download available from their site but its a chip in their cable that tells it its all registered and lets you do everything?

Excellent service and they really know their stuff about long coding etc. I know its not the real deal but if you are going to buy a copy then get it from these guys.

So did I and it ended up going in the bin.....

I now have a genuine Ross Tech cable :happy2:

Don't try updating to a newer version of the vcds software when available.
